Corporate Job

Went through old portfolio, looking back it was such an amazing experience that I've survived corporate world. I am glad I had opportunity to try out various jobs from advertising agency, theme park, corporate & government.

I missed friends I left and the breath taking view looking down KLCC Park from 70th floor, PETRONAS Twins Tower... but that's about it. I left without any regret, corporate world just a stop in my life journey. I am glad I've been there but I am belongs to where I am now:)

This brochure was designed conjunction with the  MLNG 25th Anniversary of 1st Cargo in  Japan.
Working with Beatrice Lye, the copywriter was such a wonderful experience, She writes beautiful things.
The Title says: What Does It Take...
What does it take to soar to greater height together?
What does it take to comprehend what people want and need?
What does it take to laugh and cry with each other?
What does it take to foster lasting friendships?
What does it take to stay loyal to each other?
What does it take to move ahead?

Design Proposal - Lecture Series

The Sime Darby Lecture Series brings forward prominent experts in the field of economics, society and environment. Sime Darby aims to create a learning avenue with the Lecture Series to enforce our commitment towards sustainability for the future.
source from: http://www.simedarby.com/

A very interesting deco proposal for big event  - Lecture Series organised by Sime Darby at Sime Darby Convention Centre. I felt proud to be part of it. Job managed by Safinaz from Maya Puri was successfully executed and the energy that have been channel for this project was worth doing when client was happy with the outcome. The visual was an overnight job with not much changes.

The topic for this year Lecture Series was about terrorism and these topic need to be translated into a deco. Using recycled, reclaimed wood as a concept, the decor are represented to complement an overall discussion topic in humble symbolic way.

It was turn out close to visual I've proposed with changes here and there with also combination of heads everyone involved; Mayapuri, Lina, AsiaPromote & Sime Darby.

I am excited with this job because of the thinking involved and it was not the typical normal esthetic decor. Here some photos to share. ENJOY:)

What is Aqiqah?

Aqiqah, in Islamic terminology, is defined as sacrifice of an animal on the occasion of a child's birth.

The performance of Aqiqah is highly encouraged. It is to be performed by the parents or the guardians of the child. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions used to perform Aqiqah when they were bestowed with a newborn.

When Should Aqiqah be Performed?
The best time to perform Aqiqah is on the seventh day after the birth of the baby.

What is the Purpose of Aqiqah?
There are many benefits in the performance of Aqiqah. One is the announcing the birth of the baby.  Being bestowed a child is a great blessing from the Creator. Another purpose is inviting family members, neighbors, and friends to celebrate the blessed occasion. The poor should be included in the celebration by offering them food and meat served on this occasion.

Wedding Card - TICK DONE

I used to design a wedding card for Nita long time ago, now she asking me again if I could design a simple wedding card for her brother in law. Olive green was a theme colour for the wedding.

This is how the card looks like after offset printing. I am happy with how the colour turns out
and the finish of textured beige colour paper used. Job delivered- TICK DONE:)

invitation card, tq tag etc

Helping out friend to design small little thing like this..make me happy:) Different feeling altogether compares to design a big stuff for a big client.

SimplySiti...the journey part 1

The creation of the logo was such a long journey, looked easy but the expectation is extremely high. With the name itself, SimplySiti products was created to simplify women needs in order to look beautiful. Behind love shape is 2 S that has been tuned in such a way to represent Siti Nurhaliza, what she can offers and the target market....It meant to appear simple and sleek...The 2 S was like a mirror image that compliment each other, intimate I must say, and the curvy to reflect women nature -the lenggok ~ the contour. The colour - rose gold was chosen to shows exclusivity.

The product itself took about 2 years to develop. It is not another celebrity product and it involved a lot of effort in creating a formula, test and so on.

For my side I involved almost on every aspect of design, from brand, packaging, advertisement, art direction, gondola, concept store. It was like giving birth to a newborn. I always believe that final design is not as important as the journey, what I have learn, the knowledge that I gained before the final one is the most vital... it was trill and excited at the same time to discover many possibilities from different angle.I am lucky in a way, DDEC won the pitch. Client, have gave 110% commitment. Datuk K, he personally have worked very closely with us in order to achieve the final result.

Such a very interesting journey..and I have learnt so much..Sometimes I just can't believe that I managed to complete this project...
