Tick Tock Tick Tock

I managed to complete 8 patchwork books before taking my break for 2 days to Bagan Lalang…Alhamdulillah… and I am counting every second and all feel so surreal:)

Phewwwwwww 5 days before I fly and I just couldn't believe it…I just need to focus to complete what I suppose to do, and say NO to what I shouldn't do.

I had cough with cracking voice, and hope will recover soon. I need to be fit, not going to fall sick, can't afford to get sick especially now.

So many things to do & so little time:)

I had such a great time during my last workshop at Emi Kaz last weekend. Eventhough the attendance are not as many as usual and I manage it alone without assistant, but everything was so pleasant with mixture of students from various background.

Another order for Mary Jane

Time has flies and I still have tones of thing need to do before travel. Did I mentioned that I need to bring some stuff to New Zealand? I am going to participate in some local Bazaar in Wellington, and stock need to be ready before I fly too because right away day after I came back I need to put up some stock at Penang. LAPAN are going to have our own corner at China House souvenir shop:)

I am immune with the loads of job even though I am not quite sure if I be able to manage. It sure will get through, it's either I manage it well or half cook.  So I gonna take it easy:)

On top of that I have few other plans like going back to hometown during weekend, 2 day spending time at Bagan Lalang, visit my dentist, plus few custom order like 20 soft toys, 3 Our Adventure Books and 2 guest books…mmmm, I will breath deeply & just smile:)

and in between, I send Syamil & Arissa for mengaji too…

Smile every chance you get. Not because life has been easy, perfect, or exactly as you had anticipated, but because you choose to be happy and grateful for all the good things you do have and all the problems you know you don’t have.

Patch Work

I love doing patchwork, it was like composing a different tune and unite it to became a very harmonious orchestra. I will throw myself into work and isolate myself and forget about my problem. Making something unexpected is what thrill me each time. There are no such rules & regulation and I can just go deep and deeper, and totally obsess in channeling my energy making each of it

I do not allow myself to create something like what others been doing. I rather became a trendsetter rather than a follower. Each thing I create or what I did, I always putting my whole heart into it.

It was such an amazing journey looking at small little things I discover each time, and this small thing is what big to me. How irritate myself looking at other people that always find an easy way of doing something, I am glad that I remain strong and firmly believe of my own ability. Each obstacle doesn't affect me that much just by looking forward to always have something to offer and make an impact what matters to me.

I am blessed and thanks Allah for always have a very high spirit, being enthusiastic  and positive about everything:) Embrace every journey you ride and always being true to your own self and respect others too:)

Wonderful Nature:)

“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As longs as this exists, and it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.”

Plain English Scone:)

I normally cook without following the exact measurement, just by feel of the texture using my finger or follow my instinct and change it slightly here and there. I do not cook everyday so whenever I cook Arissa & Syamil will overly compliment even that is not the best meal in the world.

They will eat and eat without complain:)

I love scone, this was my favourite breakfast during my student time. I went to Cameron Highland last year, the taste always good when you have it hot in cold weather, or during winter. This recipe is from http://www.deliaonline.com

Ingredients
 40g spreadable butter
 225g self-raising flour
1½ level tablespoons golden caster sugar
 pinch of salt
110ml milk, plus a ilttle more (if needed)
 a little extra flour
Pre-heat the oven to 220°C, gas mark 7

Method

Begin by rubbing the butter into the sieved flour quickly, using your fingertips, then stir in the sugar followed by a pinch of salt.

Now, using a knife, mix in the milk little by little, and when it’s all in, flour your hands and knead the mixture to a soft dough (you may find you need just a drop more milk if it feels at all dry).

Place the dough on a floured pastry board and with a rolling pin (also floured) lightly roll it out to a thickness of about 3cm. (This thickness is vital. The reason scones don’t rise enough is because they are rolled too thin.) Then take the pastry cutter and tap it sharply so that it goes straight through the dough – do not twist or the scones will turn out a strange shape!

When you have cut as many as you can, knead the remaining dough together again and repeat. Then place the scones on the baking sheet, dust each one with flour and bake near the top of the oven for 12–15 minutes.

When they’re done they will have risen and turned a golden brown.

Then transfer them to a wire rack and eat as soon as they are cool enough, spread with butter, jam and clotted cream.
