Steve Job

You can't connect the dots looking forward you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something: your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well worn path. SJ

I love this quote..and it is SOOOOO TRUE. I love the fact that we had the same initial:) ha ha that inspired me a lot..and i adore for what he has been doing. He making such an impact dot... I am sure he got a better plan.. wish you the very best Steve Job.

Messy+Busy Mode

I am in messy and busy mode.....inbetween consignment delivery, preparation for KLDW, workshop, an exciting graphic job, teaching offer decision, preparation for raya, fasting and exciting proposal.....pheeeewww

Sneak Peek

I am basically extremely busy at this moment:( You can tell by looking at the number of article published in my blog space here. The space & location for KL Design Week has been confirmed. I am excited and nervous at the same time....The show going to be held at Publika Solaris Dutamas on 16 to 25 September. Minus the festive holiday.. I have more less one week to prepare everything and I am progressing very very slow. Perhaps I am taking this a bit more serious because the high expectation and exposure are both from local & international.

For anyone that doesn't have any clue what is KLDW all about, here are some details:

The thrust of the KLDW festival idea is to produce a skilled, qualified, experienced creative human capital. The festival is to instill, stimulate and magnify our country’s creative productivity by providing the latest information, knowledge and experience through a series of educational symposia and exhibition experience series.

“When you reach for the stars, you may not quite get one, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either.” – Leo Burnett

The phrase “Reaching for the Stars” conjures up images of magic that seems to open the doorway to amazing possibilities. Therefore, we deploy “Reaching for the Stars” as a motivational tagline, a spiritual slogan to gather individuals in challenging this new global economic trend -- “The Creative Economy”. In our context, design activity is of paramount importance in order to transform ideas into value and to link creativity with innovation and production, for the growth of the creative economy. “Reaching for the Stars” is about cultivating the new generation to be a star in the forefront to the eyes of the world. For Malaysia, for Vision 2020!

With the aspiration that KLDW Festival will becomes more cohesive, we hope to see the emergence of freshly shaped creative superstars; whose energy, passion and optimism diffuse throughout the globe and further inspire the minds of a new generation that will power this new economy.

Quote of the Day:)

Perfectionism is simply putting a limit on your future. When you have an idea of perfect in your mind, you open the door to constantly comparing what you have now with what you want. That type of self criticism is significantly deterring John Eliot, Ph.D.

Card Making Session 1 - Classic Vintage

It was amazing looking at the final outcome where each of the employee has managed to come out with a different version using the same set of materials:) It was such a nice session and I am so happy looking at everyone diverting the energy focusing on their own cards within the time given. How great are the employer that have gave such session to add on spice and diverting from a norm routine job.

Busy Friday - going to have my first card making session today & I am so excited. This might something I could offer in the near future...

KL Design Week 2011 has giving me a bit of pressure to produce new products..and I am making a very slow progress. And most of my craft creation are all spontaneous without a proper plan..I just do it.

Been extremely busy, and I am glad I finally completed 2 of 3 graphic job from 2 new clients I had recently. When I mentioned that I gonna take a break during Ramadhan from bazaar and workshop, out of sudden graphic jobs are knocking at my door from 2 exciting clients that hard to resist.

Life been always great, I am glad to be be surrounded with people that always trust and believe in what I am doing. My old company offering my position back. The only thing I imagine was for sure I am not be able to pursue what I currently am doing especially my art & craft if ever I joined back.

the only thing that I miss of my old job was my spacious room:)
Those episode was over and I don't even want to consider the offer, eventhough the money side was so tempting. But I believe not all in life can be bought by money. I had moving forward and truly happy. Even now YES there are always obstacle from every angle but that doesn't affect me anymore. I do not bother if the small bumping occur, I can always go to different direction, try a new way of doing, find better solution as long as I am happy.

proposal made for client recently

And I am considering a teaching offer from a design school. Part time lecturer that only take 3 hours of my time a week. I have a good feeling about this. At the bright side I could share experiences I had in design industry...Guiding and feeding students that hungry with knowledge... I haven't give my answer yet, will wait..never know...

I am going to have my first card making session next Friday, and another 2 continued on September after Raya. The session was for a corporate client during their lunch break. Gonna have 24 participants. Another exciting experience:)

Ramadhan seems moving very fast...So many good things happened this Ramadhan...I am blessed.
