Busy...busyyyy day

It comes from saying no to 1,000 things to make sure we don't get on the wrong track or try to do too much. Steve Jobs

I had this pretty plant for 7 years now,
and it's only produce flower 2 or 3 times a year.
Not so sure what the name though:) I call it white daffodil.
I am extremely busy preparing myself for 3 bazaars within this 2 weeks, in between consignment order for Tropical Spices Garden, helping out MayaPuri with deco concept & visual for big event and pitching for rebranding exercise plus small design job here and there. I am not sure how could I going to manage all this... but my weaknesses is to say NO to every request...pheeeewwwww
I had nice deep fried potato with rosemary& garlic at Delicious.
Try to do something similar. My version was grilled,
rosemary plucked from my garden, with garlic, salt and oregano powder..
It turned out not very bad:)

PIECES

I got to know them when one of the partner from PIECES asking if I am interested of having my LittleSyam Book Binding Workshop at their place. I have paid them a visit, and have falling in love with the place instantly...Owned by 3 beautiful angels, from old shop space, they have turned the place to become a boutique furniture.

They are also interested to have Little Syam products there. This kind of offer will never across my life, something unthinkable, following my instinct...I had my workshop 07 there, last weekends:)..that simple.

They sell beautiful art piece, precious furniture from old one where they refurbish, inject some life and colours. I am so fascinated to found a reclaimed piece door creatively making into beautiful coffee table. They also reproduce and design new piece. Do not expect repetition of the same piece... because each of them are special, limited edition and one of a kinds.

Come and find out what they have at No. 15, Jalan Mesui, Off Jalan Nagasari, 50200, Kuala Lumpur.  Tel: +6016 977 4547 / +603 2110 0299  Email: living@pieces.com.my
They are open from TUESDAYS TO SATURDAYS from 11am - 5pm (most days)

Other than that I am so lucky to get to know 3 Angels from PIECES that been so kind letting me; a total stranger offering their beautiful space.

Kampung Mangkuk, Setiu, Terengganu
Quote by: Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider, Northern Exposure, Northern Lights, 1993

What I go through now was opt 2 which I just follow what my heart says...
never plan things just follow my instinct,
I love the surprises that I encounter along the way but
soon I might have go for opt 3 where I have to be in charged and be more responsible
but will NEVER go to opt 1 where I have to fight for unnecessary thing...
I will let people win and go to opposite direction:P...

Dun you think life is pretty strange...
but if ever I been given a choice I would love to discover
the mysterious what life could offer me...

Back to Busyland:)

Hi there:) Besides of still feeling exhausted from Terengganu trip, I am so looking forwards for my upcoming workshop this weekends. Total of 6 students are coming and as usual I am soooo excited to meet up with new people that share the same intention of passion to learn book binding skill. I still can squeeze in some space if any of you interested to attend the class. Visit this link: http://little-syam.blogspot.com/p/book-binding-workshop.html for further info.

It going to be a busy week for me, preparing materials and to check the place. When I came back, Arissa are not feeling well and have been absent from school for two days. Syamil are also coughing but still strong to go to school. Pheeeeww.

My Terengganu trip was a very essential experience. The freshly rebranded Sultan Mizan Cup was launched by Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin. The annual endurance challenge, the newly rebranded Sultan Mizan Cup, is organised jointly by the Terengganu State Government and Royal Terengganu Endurance Stables and will be held at Terengganu International Endurance Park, Lembah Bidong, Setiu, Terengganu from October 7 to 9, 2011.

I went there under MayaPuri Creations are mainly to assist on decorations and flower arrangement. Since the function are for Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, there are many protocol need to follow, many changes has been made but it's very interesting experience for me. And working in design field previously made the last minute changes was something that I could handle easily.

The event was held at a very magnificent of TerraPuri beach side, used to be one of the location for Merong Mahawangsa. The brunch was set up outdoor nearby the beach with huge marquee tent. The concept for the event was depicted from  the theme, Coral which are the mean heritage and treasure of Terengganu. It was chosen to reflect the similarity with the horse; both are Nature’s treasures that need to be taken care of to ensure their survival; and both are vibrant and beautiful.

Quote of the Day:)

Never seem more learned than the people you are with. Wear your learning like a pocket watch and keep it hidden. Do not pull it out to count the hours, but give the time when you are asked. Lord Chesterfield

Sometimes we do a thing in order to find out the reason for it. Sometimes our actions are questions not answers. John Le Carre

You have to learn that if you start making sure you feel good, everything will be okay. Ruben Studdard

And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow. Jerry Chin

Leather Bound Book vs Photo Album

At last I managed to finish this project...and I am quite please with the output. It kind of tricky whenever I dealt with leather material. On top of it is very costly,  it required certain level of confidence to ensure all are cut precisely. I am happy with my buckle new closure which look nice and practical at the same time. I am gonna explore more of this on the future...yippie..yippie )-_-(

RM200 postage included (within Klang Valley only)

Paper Thick paper, 180gsm, Beige colour
Measurement approximately 8"(height) x 7.5"(width)
Finishing Leather/Cow Skin, Buckle with metal charm page mark.

Happy Saturday

I had spent a great Saturday with Arissa and Syamil at Creative Muse organised by CutOut Magazine. Eventhough a bit quite for the first time event, but I am sure it going to be as competitive compares to other handmade bazaar. The Weld provide ample cheap parking space, only RM2 on Saturday. Met with many familiar faces, students from workshop & crafter friends.

Creative Muse had a full support from artisan, very good starting and more for the future. I hope to join them the next time around:)

Here I would like to share cute stuff that I bought from our talented local artisan.
1) Natural cotton printed tape from http://fabricfanatics.blogspot.com/
2) Key chain felt figurine, elastic band & sticker tape from YinZ
3) Adorable crochet from Pei Chuey
