My Theraphy

Just wanna share one of my theraphy... my herb corner.. and some cactus plant that I got from Cameron Highland recently..

Green is such a theraphy for me..and I just love the aroma, the aesthetic look and shape of leaves. I grew few types of herb such as oregano, rosemary, mint, lemon grass, daun kesom, daun limau purut and curry leaf. They are easy to take care of..and very useful to have some in the pot whenever I feel like to have it in my dishes.

Mint is one of the most simple to use of the natural herbs, and has a lot of good uses, besides just tasting good. It is also easy to grow, and in fact will tend to take over an area pretty easily. If you feel like to have tea, just pluck the leave and put in your tea, it gave such a refreshing effect.

Oregano is an excellent source of vitamin K and a very good source of iron, manganese and dietary fiber. In addition, oregano is a good source of calcium, magnesium, vitamin A, vitamin C and omega-3 fatty acids. The warm, balsamic and aromatic flavor of oregano makes it the perfect addition to Mediterranean and Mexican cuisines.

Whereby, Rosemary  is widely used as a spice when cooking, especially in Mediterranean dishes.

Why not try to plant some at home today:)

Hello All:)

I had took a break, and enjoying a laid back life after one bazaar to another. Made a trip to Cameron Highland...Besides of the raining season, I quite like some part of Cameron Highland whereby another part of it I am not so keen with. My impression is the whole highland has been mismanaged especially the land & waste, landslide...In my imagination the impression should portray the traditional way of farming system, english cottage, nice stall with friendly seller, cottage industry, better landscape & garden... It has so much potential.... with advantage of its environment and weather... what a waste!

Unfortunately my camera has gone kaput for 2 weeks. Time to get the new camera. There are so much I wanna capture and share:(

Salam Awal Muharam:)

Look around yourselves
Can’t you see this wonder
Spreaded infront of you
The clouds floating by
The skies are clear and blue
Planets in the orbits
The moon and the sun
Such perfect harmony
Let’s start question in ourselves
Isn’t this proof enough for us
Or are we so blind
To push it all aside..
SALAM AWAL MUHARAM ALL...May this year bring us all happiness and success.
God Bless:)

Go Green:)

Looking at my involvement for recycling, I will say..there are so much more effort that I could do than effort I've made at this time being. Recycling habit has been in my mind and even my thesis topic for my bachelor degree 15 years ago titled Used of Recycled Material in Packaging.

Our society take a short cut, with DO NOT CARE attitude towards rubbish they produced. The fact is by throw away the rubbish and assuming that the responsibility stop till that point is totally WRONG. Have we ever think where the rubbish that we threw end up??????  Waste that could be recycled ends up in landfill sites is harmful to the environment.

Recycling is an excellent way of saving energy and conserving the environment but did you know that:
• 1 recycled tin can would save enough energy to power a television for 3 hours.
• 1 recycled glass bottle would save enough energy to power a computer for 25 minutes.
• 1 recycled plastic bottle would save enough energy to power a  60-watt light bulb for 3 hours.
• 70% less energy is required to recycle paper compared with making it from raw materials.

YES recycling need effort by sorting out your waste by categories them accordingly to material. When you truly practice them, you will found that you got nothing much left need to be picked up by garbage truck.

Do you know that leftover food  or rotten vegetables can be tossed onto a compost pile where they will breakdown and can be used to put vitamins and minerals back into depleted soil. It's such an easy way to give back to the environment.

Bring your own container when tapowing your food. The bad news is styrofoam is manufactured from petroleum. It's highly flammable and a chemical called benzene, which is a known human carcinogen, is used in its production. This material takes an incredibly long time to break down in the environment and additionally, animals may ingest it which blocks their digestive tracts and ultimately causes starvation. Given the nature of styrofoam, it's surprising that such an energy intensive, oil sucking and toxic substance is allowed to be use as packaging for food; particularly for Malaysian that so used to tapow culture, where hot food has direct contact with it. STOP being ignorance for something that we feel convenience. It may harm our body in silence.

Bring your own bag whenever you do your shopping...Avoid taking plastic bag. Yup some seller might look at you strangely... but who care..

Small effort does make a different. So guys.. start recycling:)

What a week:)

Just finished my American Bazaar and the respond was really great..and Bijou Bazaar just taken place last Saturday and Sunday. Doing Bazaar can be very hectic when the duration is quite close from one to another bazaar. But the rewards was so worthwhile with networking, respond and do not forget the fun part of it:)

The challenging part is my art and craft is done from scratch..Mean it is time consuming to produce. With participation in many Bazaar I definitely need to constantly produce a stocks ..but unfortunately with teaching, designing in between I just need to follow the flow...

Another month to go before a new year...and I am so bless that I have project inline till January... from one to another... I can't wait for my tiny studio renovation which I hope can be completed before end of 2010. I desperately need bigger and more comfortable creative space. But at this juncture I need to be patience...
Words and visual that really move me.
Painting 7"x7" RM80 SOLD
Here I would like to share this word that I found and inspired from Keri Smith blog... which I feel connected to it...

As an adult I decided I would never live in a way that I would have any regrets about what could have been, I would do whatever I was drawn to, whatever moved me, and try to experience everything as fully as possible.
Of course, as I got older I learned that my life is not about the things i’ve planned, and it’s much better that way. I no longer find it necessary to be 100% sure of anything. Planning just gets in the way of living well, in my opinion, but I digress…
