Busy...busyyyy day

One thing about being on your own, the job came unexpectedly, and you got to grab whatever you capable of, because you never know sometimes..it gonna be a rainy day..This week gonna be a very busy week to me, delivered 20 dolltopias today, 10 duckies and 10 skinny bunnies. Managed to finish some job for friend a commission of fridge magnet, some illustration and photoshop job. Almost finish doing my graphic job, corporate identity, slide shows and business plan for client of mine.

In between I tried to squeeze going out look for craft materials, walking(pecah lemak:P), searching for creative indulgence. A must thing that I will do at least once a week... Need to be out than stuck at home infront of computer. Still have a few proposal need to finish by this year..and I hope my journey will be much smoother by next year..this year is all about trying and face the error...experimenting, networking, creative indulgence..and having fun. Having FUN should be included not only this year but also next year:)

I wish to travel by early next year because big portion of my saving will be channel to build up my small studio..Sedihnya...my small garden and bananas trees at the backyard need to be cut out after raya... I desperately need bigger space for my sampah sarap, books and my craft materials...What I have in mind is something like this..warm and stimulating..organise(maybe)

I took this photos from unknown source.
I apologise of stealing but this picture really inspired me:)
My first book binding workshop will be held at Taman Botani this weekends and I am very looking forwards..to teach. 9 students enrolled, and this definitely gonna be a fun one:)  I will share more photos on the workshop next week. I am going there this Friday for dry run. Will bring Syamil & Arissa along.. They are excited as always, gonna snap nature photos to share:)

My life has never been happier and thrill:) I would like to end up may day with alhamdullilah.

Don't Dance So Fast

Have you ever watched kids. On a merry-go-round? Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down. Don’t dance so fast. Time is short. The music won’t last.
Do you run through each day? On the fly?
When you ask. How are you? Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done. Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores. Running through your head?
You better slow down. Don’t dance so fast. Time is short. The music won’t last.
Ever told your child, We’ll do it tomorrow? And in your haste, Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die. Cause you never had time..To call and say,’Hi’
You better slow down. Don’t dance so fast. Time is short. The music won’t last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere. You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day, It is like an unopened gift.. Thrown away.
Life is not a race. Do take it slower. Hear the music. Before the song is over.
David Weatherford

This is the poem that reminded my self to take only one step at a time....
Take time to smell a flower, feel the breeze blow over the face...
Stop pretending I am a super women that be able to solve every  problem...
Let it be...Treat myself sometimes, because I am more than deserve
Start looking at small tiny thing that always take for granted
because sometimes we tend to forget
Be kind to everyone, because believe it or not the reward will be paid in all sort of way
But don't ever be nice because of the intention...
Doing good is to make you feel good, internally

When Otak a bit Tepu

I've been thinking sooooo much, to create a new product for Little Syam, since what I am doing related to fabric, tote bag could be a good idea, but seemed I need to master the sewing technique first. Never knew sewing could be this difficult... and the out put is not good enough... Fuhhhhh

And this is how it's look...the result is not so impressive

Craft - The whole meaning

I just follow my instinct to quit my 9 to 5 job (or should I rephrase 7.30-10.30) and leave my comfortable position and salary to become a full time crafter. I have doubt, by thinking the financial side...but this time I feel the time is right...just follow the instinct...and the feeling just amazing..I feel like a bird, flying high..full of freedom.

Let the financial side to be taken care by God,because I believe "rezeki" is all His job.

Book binding workshop preparation

I am sooooo excited with my first workshop at Taman Botani 31 July & 1 August, Eventhough the workshop is quite small compare than teaching 76 students at one go, I personally feel this is really a special workshop. Each student got charge RM180 per person, but it is so worthwhile, where the food is provided which include -lunch and afternoon tea break. Materials all provided worth around RM37, the venue is sooooo nice, surrounded by nature...And I will teach 3 methods of binding - Japanese Stab Binding, Coptic Binding and Kettle Stitch. At the end of the day certificate will be given to all of them.

In the midst of preparing the book binding material, all will be package in my tote bag, where I personally sewn and silkscreen.

this is how the tote bag looks like

I am sooooo looking forwards...
